Wow! Totally unexpected, very surprising and quite funny! Once you grasp and understand the writing style, you will be pulled in!

I put off reading this for a while and now I'm so glad I made my mind up to read it.
This is a book that actually did have me from page one, which is hard to do as it does take me at least a whole chapter to get the feel or vibe of the story.

Sophie got on my nerves a little bit and was kind if stalkerish, but she's barely out of her teens and in a totally awkward relationship.

Henry is a guy reaching the proverbial mid life crisis, in a rut in his marriage, and his business is stagnant. He's a man wondering the where's, what's and whys of his current life situation.

Henry and Sophie's relationship was a bit odd but still held a feeling of realness, hence the happiness, the sadness and all the "other" in between.

I'm not sure if I can read the next one, as it is noted as being "an unromantic comedy". I most likely will give it a shot when my head is ready for it!

Got this on a recommendation, glad I did! Very funny and witty...places you from within the story and look forward to Adams other writings.
Best read yet for my new kindle. Easy going, a bit like Sophie, believable characters and storyline with the unexpected twist. Sexy little number to recommend to friends. Great travel buddy. Can't wait for the next one.
Really enjoyed this book. Page turner from beginning to end. Immediately read the second in series and anxiously waiting on third!
I will start by saying I read a lot. This book was very unique. I couldn't put it down. I laughed out loud more times then I can count. It was sweet and funny and a bit sexy. Definitely very enjoyable.
Damn this book!

I am about two thirds through with the first book and I can barely turn the page from laughing so DAMN hard. The humor and situations these two find themselves in PLUS their inner monologue absolutely has me in stitches.

looking forward to the second book. hopefully if I stop laughing so much I'll be able to start it this week ;)
Funny. Sophie a young girl gets a job working as a receptionist, and works her way up to Henry's PA. The fun they have together, and the problems they get into.
Did not know why, but once I started the first chapter I could not put this book until the last page. Great characters and lusty scenes add to the excitement of this story. Already purchased the second book by this author straight after the last line was read.
