The book was well written and the author did a great job relating Catholic teachings to real life human challenges. Though not typically the genre I prefer, it was a good book and I look forward to the sequels.

For the fallen-away Catholic it provides spiritual motivation to re-connect with a faith they found too challenging in our modern times; For the Christian interested in Catholicism, it offers up a jaw-dropping dose of reality from a faith they thought was archaic and stodgy; For the absolute critic of Catholicism, it portrays a Church aware of itself, with open arms as the hospital for the spiritually decayed. If you are a critic or a convert, Sacred Sex, Heaven's Tears will provide motivation to turn the page to the reality of this modern era of porn at the click of a mouse. Take the challenge, it is worth it!
Quite simply, we need to draw a line in the sand and not let evil cross it.
This book engages the reader, tells a gripping story and educates as well.
If you are entertained by the superficial and fabricated then this book IS NOT for you.
However, if you have a desire to rise to the challenge of understanding an evil that is alive and well in this world
then make a great decision and read this. In addition, you will be presented with well researched facts and the truth
we will need in our lives. As mentioned, this engaging story could only be the beginning and I am hopeful that there is more to follow from A Robeshin because this is a story that needed to be told.
A.I. Robeshin managed to capture the essence of our societal situation as it relates to how sexual deviancy influences those individuals who are susceptible and accepting to this path. Robeshin created a captivating story weaving the voice of purity and goodness (A Catholic Priest with a colorful past himself) with the law and the whole society of sexual extremism and violence. The stories' characters are warm, inviting, fearful and complicated and their views of sexuality span the spectrum of our culture. An adventurous and exciting story line from the start, Robeshin will keep you on the edge of your seat,all the way to a surprise ending that was ingenious and unexpected.
I really enjoyed reading this book. I'm not Catholic but that had no real bearing on the readability or the intrigue of the story. The book kept my interest from beginning to end. There were only a few things I wasn't familiar with and nothing that interfered with my getting thoroughly swept up with the characters and the story told. I actually enjoyed learning about some of the saints & miracles & religious history. There really wasn't much-all in all it was a mystery told in a catching way that I would recommend to anyone looking for a good read.
The only problem I had was with the title which almost turned me off but after reading the reviews, I gave it a chance and I'm glad I did. For some reason the title made me think the book was going to be different, quite different, than it was. This is a good mystery with no cursing or sexual scenes of the sort that I was kind of worried about by the title. Do read this book, I believe you'll enjoy it too. )
