Reviewed For I'm A Sweet And Sassy Book WhoreHoly. $#@!. I absolutely loved One Hundred and Thirty Six Scars but what I feel for Hellraiser puts that love to shame. I think I lasted two days before starting Hellraiser and I did not put it down. It just had me screaming I hate you Hella, then saying I love you Hella, wanting to yell at both Hella and Melissa to get their heads out of their @$$#$ and just stop the fighting. I need a wardrobe change if you know what I mean and my friend who I was messaging with during my reading was like my dealer she just kept saying don’t stop keep you. I may have also called Amo Jones some well let’s say creative names but I did mean them out of love.
Hella wasn’t my favorite character in the previous book because he was acting like a massive @$$%^&* towards Melissa but she wasn’t an angel either. The sexual tension between these two in that book was off the charts, in Hellraiser it is so much more that you almost want to lock them in a room and yell get it on again already. I don’t know if I have ever loved and hated a character at the same time like I did Hella for the majority of the book, but I did. Even when I wanted to take his own gun and shoot him with it, I still loved him. Trust me Hella is one of those characters that get under your skin in both good and bad ways. Once he wakes up and decides to make Melissa his, I was ecstatic because I knew that he was going to give her $#!! but also protect her with every breath he had. I knew he was going to do something and I am glad he did because they deserved much worse.
Melissa she comes across as this sarcastic, strong and sassy, almost &^%$#@ at times woman but there is so much more beneath the surface that you didn’t see in the first book. Something horrible happened in her past, I wanted blood when I read about it, I wanted death because she should never had gone through that. I was so angry when she told Hella not to act, because you knew there was no way he was going to let something like that go especially when she was his, in the past or not, she was his and he needed to do it. I know a lot of her actions and attitude are because of how Hella treated her before and a couple times I wanted to remind her that they weren’t together at the time no matter how much she may have wanted to be or not.
Hellraiser can be read as a standalone but I think I loved it even more because I did read One Hundred And Thirty Six Scars first and I wanted to know their story even back then. Amo Jones knows how to completely hook you into the stories she writes and makes you wish that you didn’t have to do other things just so you can never stop reading. This book is dark at times, it is erotic, it %$#@! with your mind and heart and I loved every single moment of it. This is a definite must read, just make sure you don’t have to do anything when you start reading because you won’t want to put the book down.

Hellraiser The Devil Own #2 edition by Amo Jones Daryl Banner Wander Aguiar Romance eBooks Reviews
This series just keeps getting better and better. Hellraiser is another amazing read from Amo Jones.
This book had some very intense moments. The two main characters are like a lit match and all it will take is for a little gasoline and bomb they will explode. Their chemistry, their hate for one another is palpable.
After finishing 136 Scars I knew I need to dive right into this book and I did. I needed Hella and Melissa’s story and I knew that it would be good.
Melissa and Hella, these two were like oil and water. Almost like a ticking time bomb waiting to explode. They hated each other yet couldn’t stay away from each other.
Hella was infuriating at times and I got whiplash from him. Hot one minute cold the next. His backstory is somewhat heartbreaking and his past is dark. His loyalty to those that were close to him was so admirable though and eventually I found myself loving the fact that his exterior was stone and if you mess with those that meant something to him you paid the price.
This storyline continues to intensify and has me craving more. I can feel the twists and turns coming and once again Amo throws something in that I didn’t see coming but I absolutely loved the piece that seemed to connect Hella and Melissa together.
I knew it! I knew I was going to love Melissa and Hella's (Brax) story more than Beast and Meadow! Oh, Brax!! *serious swoon* As always, could not put it down. Second night in a row I'm deprived of sleep due to this series. Think I'll save Millie's story for the weekend. I may be the only one, but I could feel Brax and Melissa's pain in this book, it made me pretty emotional at times.
Of course I was irritated with Brax from the beginning, I knew he had his issues and his secrets, but the way he was treating Melissa was so horrible. She's trying so hard to give it back as good as he is, but she waves her white flag first out of the two of them. Completely exhausted from dealing/fighting with him, it was heartbreaking. Brax grew on me very fast, once I could see how caring and protective of Melissa he was, it was was like a relief of, "Maybe they can make it". I floved watching them fall in love with each other. Melissa was so guarded (every right to be), but she slowly started to open up for him so he could ease some of that weight off her shoulders.
I'm so much more in love with Jada now, she's the best kind of friend! I hope she gets a book in the future. Slightly terrified/intrigued by Frost, he's clearly psychotic. I look forward to the Razing Grace books, have to know what's going to happen with Millie and the crazy kidnaper! I'm still so glad I started this series, it never lets go of me, I'm always swiping that next page no matter how tired I am.
HELLA .... hell yeah!!! This book is fantastic and takes you on a hell of a ride! Hellraiser is book two in the Devil's Own Series. This is Hella's story and it starts out with him being 15 years old and living under the Brooklyn Bridge. Hella, also known as, Brax, or 112, from his years with the Army. Hella ooozes sex and dominance, and has no soul. He's crude, dark, rough, and a killer. He is a shell of a man, a devil. He meets Melissa Hart. These two are intense. They have such hatred for each other, yet their chemistry is off the charts. They bicker, and battle, and through it all you know they are perfect for one another. Can Hella find his light after living in such a dark world? If you have read One Hundred & Thirty-Six scars you know you need to hold on tight and strap yourself in for reading Hella. I'm not sure you will be emotionally stable and able to stand after reading this dark, twisted, mind blowing story. I just loved it!!!! Your emotions will be put through the ringer! Have yourself a good drink after finishing, you will definitely need it to calm your nerves. Well done, Amo. What an intense and brilliant second book to this series. I'm so looking forward to more and wondering where you will take us next!!!!
